2020 Virginia Computer Science Educator of the Year. As an Elementary Instructional Facilitator of Computer Science, I cover nine schools throughout Loudoun County. At each of my assigned schools, I work with administrators and staff to build the CS/CT culture while integrating the Virginia Computer Science SOLs into core curriculum. Along with the other CS Facilitators, we collaborate weekly on designing professional development sessions that focus on the utilization of Minecraft, Scratch, LEGO, and various other resources to promote Computer Science and Computational Thinking. Over the years, I have had the honor of presenting at FETC, ISTE, VSTE, Inspire Loudoun, and the Code to the Future Summit on the benefits of using Computer Science and Computational Thinking in the classroom.
