James T. Richardson joined Apple’s Community Education Initiatives Team on August 9, 2015 as an Education Development Executive. He now serves as a K-12 Account Executive in Southern Virginia.
As a leading-edge educational technology educator for over 17
years, James has worked intimately with classroom teachers, principals and district administrators, developing best practices in integrating and infusing technology into teaching and learning. His passion for educating all learners and helping them to understand the transformational power of educational technology is contagious.
Prior to joining Apple, James served as the Principal of Buck Lodge Middle School in Adelphi, Maryland, where he was instrumental in leading a team of educators to transform a failing school into a model transformative teaching and learning program that has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished Program two years in a row. James has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator, NASSP Digital Principal of the Year, and as an expert in the field of educational technology. Prior to serving as principal, James also held positions as a first and fourth grade teacher, technology coordinator and instructional coach, Assistant Principal, and Adjunct Professor, teaching graduate level courses in The School of Education at Trinity College.
