Shannon Floyd has served NNPS as an Instructional Technology Coach (ITC) since 2005. She has worked at both the elementary and middle school level. She was an elementary teacher at Newsome Park where she looped with her students through grades 2-5 before leaving the classroom to be an ITC. Prior to coming to NNPS she served as the middle school ESL teacher for Hampton City Public Schools for four years. Shannon is a National Board Certified Teacher in Middle Childhood Generalist. She also has her ISTE certification. Shannon's passion for coaching centers on fostering individual and personalized growth in every educator she works with. The educational technology tools she enjoys sharing the most are the MergeCube simulations, and integrating Beebots in the curriculum.
