Create a Hand-Drawn Animation on a Chromebook

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Art plus technology equals creative, engaging, fun. Yes, you can really draw on a Chromebook and animate that drawing. This project brings an art teacher and an ITRT together to invite students to garner both technical and creative skill. The art teacher provides the instruction for the drawing portion, and the technology teacher provides the instruction to make the animation function. This project uses Google Slides and an app in Chrome called Canvas. It requires a touch screen Chromebook so that students can draw with their fingers. This project is appropriate for students in late elementary through high school. Plan to create your own animation in this session as well as learn how we did it.
