VSTE Annual Conference 2020

Every year, Chesterfield County’s Department of Instructional Innovation hosts a large-scale district professional learning opportunity with thousands of teachers in attendance. This year, our plans went out the window as we pivoted to flip an in-person event into an entirely virtual experience. Join us to learn how this potential calamity became our highest-attended and one of our most well-received county professional development offerings. Teachers appreciated the flexibility in scheduling and opportunities for collaboration and personalization. We will share our process, successes and reflections, and resources that you can use in preparing for virtual professional learning opportunities for your districts.
