The future of education lies with student-centered and culturally-responsive teaching, and with teachers who are flexible and continually growing their own skills. Openly-licensed educational resources (OER) provide resources to support such teaching, and #GoOpenVA provides resources to support the teachers! Local divisions can use #GoOpenVA as a tool to cultivate new resources, new techniques, and new skills for their educators. Using OER to encourage a new way of teaching is a long-term strategy to provide teachers support for a permanent change.
