Connecting Students Interests With Learning Goals

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this session we will dive into students interests in gaming, Minecraft, art, pets, cooking, and more and find ways to connect their learning with their passions. Have students who love Minecraft? Need them to show what they know about animal habitats? Let them build it in Minecraft to see what they have learned. Need kids to showcase their understanding of historical figures? Let them creat models using Lego, clay, art materials, or technology programs and share their learning. We will see examples from a class, discuss how to incorporate it in your class, and have a little fun along the way.
