Cashing in on Each Other: How STEM brought a school community together

It began with a simple question, “Is there an adaptive cash register that my special education students can use in their school cafe?” In this session, we will share how a bit of creativity, coding, and Makey Makey technology laid the foundation for the Cash Register Project (as featured on Makey Makey’s blog and webinar series). Join us to learn how these students used real-world inquiry and workplace readiness opportunities to ideate, construct, and implement a cash register that met the needs of a wide variety of students with physical and intellectual abilities.
