Traveling the Earth... Virtually

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

You and your students can travel to every corner of the globe using the magic of Google Earth, and create tours so others can join you. In this three-part, hands-on session, we will build a tour of our favorite places using the Projects feature in Earth. During the first part, we'll look at the steps for creating a location for the tour. During the second part, everyone who wants to participate will create one location in a shared tour. For the third part, we'll take that tour and discuss ways that you can use Google Earth resources to help students understand geography, world cultures, history, science and more. Note: you will need the Chrome browser on a Mac or Windows computer, or a Chromebook to participate in building the tour. Those on tablets or phones are welcome to watch.

This is Part 2 of a two part presentation.

If you would like to collaborate on the Google Earth Project started in Part 1, please complete this form: https://forms.gle/63Nt4dY8W5t9LqVt9 and then watch your mail for an invitation.

You can find tutorials for getting started with Google Earth and Projects, along with additional resources to continue your learning after the conference here: https://www.assortedstuff.com/stuff/ .
